After years of waiting, users of Findel Airport have finally seen their wish come true.
On Sunday, March 3, under a magnificent winter sun, LuxTram, the City of Luxembourg, and the Ministry of Mobility proudly inaugurated the new tramway section connecting with the airport. And this line runs on rails made in ArcelorMittal.
Since the launch of the tram project in 2017, ArcelorMittal Rails & Special Sections has established itself as a key partner. Recognized for its excellence in the production of high-quality steel, it delivered the rails between 2023 and 2024 for the line to Findel Airport.
With 31 million passengers per year, the Luxembourg tramway now covers 17 km and serves 24 stations.
